A glimpse of Alaska!

I spent a week in Alaska during late January, the coldest and darkest time of the year. On average, it was -26F daily. Got to meet up with my friend Dave Collins to talk about my new writing projects. Got to spend a couple days at my cabin in Talkeetna, where 20,320 ft. Denali (aka Mt. McKinley) looms on the horizon. I spent many an hour at the Talkeetna Roadhouse, my favorite place on Earth (see the photo of me with Trish Costello, the wonderful owner and master-chef). I had to get up three times a night to restoke the woodstove. Brrr!
